Hi my name is Nikki and I am the Team Leader in the Tiny Tots room here at Tiny Wonders.

A little bit about me, I am a mum, wife and sister. I love my sports and being active, chocolate is my weakness. I am a qualified primary school teacher, who after having a break from teaching spent some years gaining experience in the corporate world. Since having my own children I realised my passion is early childhood education so getting back into the workforce after having children I have been fortunate to join the Tiny Wonders team.

I cherish the relationships I have built with the children throughout the centre along with the team at Tiny Wonders. I will be starting my graduate diploma in the new year to develop further my qualifications. I’m excited and passionate about working with and alongside the team at Tiny Wonders, working together to provide your child with the best care and learning experience.

Hi my name is Dawn, but to all my wonderful Tiny Wonders family both young and old, I am Dawnie. I have been working here for a long time about 8 years; you could say I am part of the furniture. I started as a reliever just after the centre opened and became a permanent staff not too long after. I have had the fortune to watch so many children and their families grow and I am humbled that I am lucky enough to be able to call so many of them friends now.

I am married and have two teenage children. We are a sporting family, heavily involved in rugby, softball and surf lifesaving. Therefore, I love to encourage the children at the centre to have a go at sports and to be physically active. Art and creativity are also a huge part of my life and I love to watch children express themselves artistically and give them the opportunities to grow from these experiences. While I am currently unqualified, I became team leader at the beginning of the year and I am currently studying for a Bachelor of Education and have almost finished my first year. It's a bit of a roller coaster ride after not studying for the last 30 odd years, but with the support I receive from my Tiny Wonders family it has been worth it's weight in gold. I love to laugh, dance and sometimes be silly with the children. I love to see them achieve milestones, gain confidence, push their physical limits, smile and develop friendships all while beginning the adventurous journey we all call life.

Kia Ora Families,

My name is Robyn Mayo and I am the Team Leader in Graduates. I have been married to my lovely husband Robert for 35 years. Together we grew three awesome children into wonderful caring adults and one delightful grandson.

About me: I have lived in Pukekohe almost all my life except for around eight months when we lived in Tuakau before moving back to Pukekohe. I attended Playcentre with my three children and began my journey within early childhood practices. When I finally left my Playcentre family, I went to work in two local ECE centres, between the two it was for about 14 years. I then decided to do some relieving work within some other centres for a while. This is when I came to Tiny Wonders where I relieved for 3 months in Tiny Tots after which I became a full time teacher, that was 5 years ago. I moved into Graduates about 3 years ago and became the Team Leader about a year ago and this is where you can find me today. I have found a bigger new family to be apart of.

While working with the children in Graduates I endeavour to provide stimulating learning experiences and challenges, where perseverance and courage to work through these interactions helps to create happy and inquisitive children. I believe that with laughter and creativity, along with honesty and being compassionate with a listening ear helps me provide a caring, nurturing learning environment for everyone.
